Far East Motorworks was founded in 1983 in Doraville, Ga. by Gordon Gray with the express purpose of providing exceptional Honda and Acura auto service and the highest quality work. With only word of mouth advertising, the customer base quickly grew and the shop was moved to its present location in Chamblee. To this day, Gordon strives for superior quality that surpasses dealerships, along with personalized care and attention.

Gordon
An Atlanta native, Gordon Gray graduated from Florida Institute of Technology and has been in the automotive business since 1973. His career began as a race car mechanic and from there he moved to Nissan and British automobiles. He gained experience in all foreign makes before finally choosing to specialize in Hondas and Accuras only. Gordon’s hobbies include woodworking and farming.
Rita
Rita, our Fixed Operations Director, is a Georgia native and has been in the automotive industry since 1977. When Rita was 28 years old she was the first female parts manager in all of Honda District 7. She is a college football fan and an avid dog lover!
Jon
Our Shop Foreman Jon is an Atlanta native who has been in the automotive repair business since 1983. A trade school graduate, Jon is an ASE master certified technician. Jon spent 14 years at a major Honda dealership, 6 of those years as shop foreman. A family man, Jon is married with 3 daughters and enjoys spending time gaming, gardening, hiking, and building various projects in his workshop.
Pat
An Atlanta native, Pat has been in the automotive business since 1974. He has extensive experience with all makes and models and has chosen to spend his career working for smaller shops. He holds ASE certifications in multiple areas. Married with 4 children and 3 granddaughters, Pat is an avid outdoors man and enjoys camping, backpacking, and motorcycle riding.
Alan
Alan, a Georgia native, has been in the automotive business since 2005 and started his career at a major Honda dealership. He holds multiple ASE certifications. He has an associates degree from Georgia Perimeter College. An outgoing family man, Alan is married with two children and enjoys gaming, running, and healthy living.
Douachi
An Alabama native, Douachi moved to Georgia in 1997 and has been working in automotive repair since 2002. He is a graduate of Gwinnett Technical College and earned a degree in Automotive Technology in 2005. Douachi spent 8 years working for a large Honda dealership. An avid sports fan, he enjoys playing and watching many sports including volleyball, soccer, basketball and football.
